The host of Amazon's motoring show became ill while holidaying in Spain.


The Grand Tour host Jeremy Clarkson has revealed that he was told by doctors that he could die after contracting pneumonia.
A week after admitting that he was recovering from the disease having picked it up while holidaying in Spain, the former Top Gear host used his column in Britain's The Sunday Times to underline the severity of the situation.
After "three nights spent spasming in my bed," Clarkson said he was sent for tests at the hospital and told he would need to be admitted for a least a week. After initially balking at the idea, he was told by the doctor, "If you don't do as I say, you will die."
Although the 57-year-old has now left the hospital, Clarkson is set to spend two months recovering, telling the Drivetribe website that he would be "out of action for some time."
The news comes just two months after co-host Richard Hammond suffered a serious crash while filming the second season of The Grand Tour in June, breaking his knee.
The Grand Tour is set to return to Amazon later this year.
