Teddy Sears, who plays Jay Garrick in The Flash, has joined the cast of 24: Legacy.

According to Deadline, the actor will star in FOX's upcoming pilot as Keith Mullins, the new head of CTU (Counter Terrorist Unit), who replaces his former boss Rebecca Ingram (Miranda Otto) after she leaves the organization.

In addition to Otto, Sears joins Straight Outta Compton and The Walking Dead's Corey Hawkins, who plays a former Army Ranger named Eric Carter. Upon his return to U.S. soil, Carter joins up with the CTU in order to prevent a potential terrorist attack from hitting the nation.

24: Legacy is directed by Stephen Hopkins and written by Evan Katz and Manny Coto. FOX's upcoming pilot will serve as the start of a soft reboot for the franchise, which features an entirely new cast of characters.
