Alongside Black Phillip the goat, Anya Taylor-Joy was the clear breakout star of The Witch and has gone on to a variety of roles. And now, with that film's director Robert Eggers working on a new take on 1922 silent horror Nosferatu, Taylor-Joy is in talks to join him.
Eggers is writing and directing the film, which is being kept mostly under wraps for now. But it'll spin its own version of the story of Count Graf Orlok of Transylvania, who is looking to buy a house in Germany and becomes enamored o real-estate agent Hutter's wife.
You can assume Taylor-Joy will play the wife, but nothing has been officially announced. Eggers has been working on this one for a while, but it's still a ways away from happening. Particularly since his star's schedule is a busy one: she's shooting X-Men spin-off New Mutants and will also appear in her Split director M. Night Shyamalan's Glass. No word as yet on whether Black Phillip will also head for Nosferatu, but his fees have apparently become stratospheric since The Witch.
