A new teaser trailer for Fear the Walking Dead season 4 shows Madison (Kim Dickens) and her group finding a new home. The teaser also previews some of the show’s new characters, which includes Morgan (Lennie James), who’s the much-anticipated crossover character from the series’ parent show, The Walking Dead.

AMC has been hyping the upcoming season by releasing a great deal of promotional photos, clips, and artwork featuring Morgan, who was recently confirmed to be crossing over into Fear the Walking Dead and joining the spinoff cast as a series regular. And that marketing campaign continues with yet another teaser.

AMC has released a 30-second teaser trailer for season 4 which shows off some of the new additions to the cast, including Lennie James as Morgan, Garret Dillahunt as John Dorey, Maggie Grace as Althea, and Jenna Elfman as Naomi. Viewers also get glimpses of the returning characters, such as Madison, Nick (Frank Dillane), Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey), Strand (Colman Domingo), and Luciana (Danay Garcia), who left the group early in season 3. Morgan doesn’t appear to be interested in making new friends and Madison says they’ve found their new home. The trailer features plenty of zombie action but manages to avoid giving away any plot details.

Morgan and the other new characters will help fill in the gaps left by the events of season 3 which saw the deaths of numerous main characters. Fans lost the show’s male lead, Travis (Cliff Curtis), along with original season 1 survivor Ofelia (Mercedes Mason). All four of the characters who joined the main cast in season 2 were killed off, including the fan-favorite psychopath, Troy (Daniel Sharman). It’s also possible that Salazar (Ruben Blades) will be confirmed dead or killed off in the season premiere. His fate was left in question when the dam was destroyed in the season 3 finale.

When season 3 ended, the survivors were left spread out by the explosion, though the show’s marketing has revealed that it won’t take long for the group to reunite. However, it’s possible that the reunion may not take place until after the season 4’s massive time jump. The time jump will allow Fear the Walking Dead to continue and expand Morgan’s journey following the conclusion of All Out War story arc with Negan and the Saviors on AMC’s flagship zombie drama. Fans will also be interested to see how the time jump will impact the other characters. How different will Madison, Nick, Alicia, and Strand be after the show jumps months – or years – into the future?

Fear the Walking Dead season 4 premieres Sunday, April 15 on AMC.
