Fast 10 will be the last Fast and Furious movie

It’s official – ‘Fast 10’ will be the last ‘Fast and Furious’.

During an interview with Collider, ‘Fast and Furious’ producer Neal Moritz confirmed that the franchise will end with ‘Fast and Furious 10’… and they already have an ending in mind.

“Yeah, the plan is to make two more movies,” he said.

“We kind of have the ending point of the franchise,” he added. “But we don’t know the in-betweens yet.”

“That’s just all of us kind of putting our heads together and coming together with something that we think is very special.”

How will that come about?

Well, there’s still the matter of ‘Fast and Furious 9’ – the next instalment of the hit action franchise. And with Charlize Theron’s Cipher still at large, I get the feeling she could play a vital part in how the series gets there.

But for now, we’ll have to wait and see.

“Our plan is to go as quickly as we can under the idea that we gotta have a great story and be ready to go,” he said about ‘Fast and Furious 9’. “We have some big themes and things we’re talking about, we’re just not there in terms of where exactly we’re gonna go yet.”

But one thing seems certain – ‘Fast 10’ will be the end.

‘Fast and Furious 8’ stars Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Scott Eastwood, Jason Statham, Charlize Theron, Kurt Russell and Helen Mirren.

F. Gary Gray directed the film based on a script by Chris Morgan.

‘Fast and Furious 8’ heads to cinemas on 12 April 2017.
