THE ladies of the village get more trick than treat in Emmedale next week as Bob Hope puts together a motley crew of men to perform a strip show at the Woolpack.

Bob – who’s delighted to be working behind the bar at the village pub – has the bright idea of putting on a male strip show and is chuffed to bits when landladies Charity and Chas Dingle agree to his scheme.

Bob – who has been down on his luck since handing his half of the café over to his ex Brenda Walker – is happy as a clam when the night proves popular and the tickets almost sell out.

But he’s soon left in a panic when he gets a call from the strip troupe he booked saying they can’t make the show.

A horrified Bob decides to put his own troupe together but ends up with a gaggle of middle-aged men made up of himself, Jimmy King, Rishi Sharma and Doug Potts.

They’re no substitute for Channing Tatum in Magic Mike but as the men shake their stuff on stage, the crowd are entertained.

They get more entertainment then they bargained for though when Bob’s partner Laurel Thomas arrives at the pub after a few days a way and is mortified to see him up on stage gyrating.

Bob – played by Tony Audenshaw in the ITV soap – tries to get her in the spirit of things by pulling her up on stage but Laurel isn’t feeling the fun and tells Bob their relationship is over – in front of the whole pub.

That’s more than enough to give a man performance anxiety.
