EASTENDERS fans have been left convinced Jean helped Alfie kidnap baby Cherry.

Viewers are adamant Jean knew Alfie was faking his death because he was able to make a quick escape from the Slaters' house.

He was laying in the living room - and presumed dead.

So he must have needed help getting the baby from its room upstairs - and Jean is likely the one who helped him.

Fans have since taken to Twitter with their theories.

One wrote: "Was there a plot hole in @bbceastenders lmao alfie managed to get up steal the baby and leave while jean was in the same room cleaning up and she didn't notice anything LOL #Eastenders #AlfieMoon".

Another said: "LISTENNN, idc what no one says Jean really is up in here doing some slick s***, cause I know Alfie didn’t just resurrect, grab Cherry and dash all on his ones smh#eastenders"

A third chimed in: "Jean has big new storyline in 2019 and Alfie’s got away with Cherry. Not without Jean’s help! Was it rubbish in the black sacks or the supplies for the baby #eastenders".

A fourth added: "How the hell did a baby get out of a cot , come down the stairs get alfie's dead body and drive off into the night, Eastenders has lost the plot."

Fans also noticed that Jean was quick to walk all over Alfie as his lifeless body remained in the living room.

One wrote: "Love how Jean is just making tea and crumpets and handing it out over Alfie’s corpse #EastEnders".

Another said: "omg lol Jean is all buttered krumpets, does it get any better. Practically stepping over DeadNotDeadAlfie. it's so Christmasy! #eastenders".

A third wrote:"Jean handing out tea and crumpets over Alfie's bleeding corpse in the middle of the floor is the definition of 'keep calm and drink tea'".

A fourth said: "Jean Slater has the best line of 2018 with 'there’s never not a good time for a cup of tea' priceless #EastEnders hats off to the writers on that one, nice one."
