Jimmy Fallon has outdone himself yet again: “The Tonight Show” previously held the record for the highest DAR-TV ever, until this week when the show more than doubled its top score, reaching a DAR-TV of 126MM. A series of astronomically successful YouTube clips came out of Fallon’s week of filming in LA, including a “Saved by the Bell” reunion and a lip sync battle with Kevin Hart and Will Ferrell that racked up a combined 53MM views alone this week.
NBC’s strategy of airing the first of a two-part episode of the “The Blacklist” after the Super Bowl turned out to be a success: the show made its first appearance in the Broadcast Top 10. Partially to thank? Strong activity on Facebook; the show’s most popular post from the past month was a video posted on the night that the second part of the episode aired.
Marvel’s “Daredevil,” Netflix’s newest original series, shook up the internet when it released its teaser trailer last week. The show’s DAR soared nearly 6,000%, most of which was driven by trailer views. That’s a big jump, even for Netflix: when House of Cards released its most recent trailer, the shows weekly DAR-TV jumped just over 350%.
