Cara Delevingne is reportedly being enlisted for the lead role in Paper Towns.

The 22-year-old British supermodel is rapidly becoming an important figure in the movie industry, as she has taken on parts in several films of late.

And according to Variety, Cara is in talks to star in Paper Towns, a feature adaptation of the eponymous 2008 young adult novel written by John Green.

The unique plotline centres on two children, Quentin and Margo, who discover the dead body of a man who committed suicide in the park together. The narrative then flashes forward to the pair as teenagers, when one night Margo shows up at Quentin’s window dressed as a ninja. During the fateful evening she enlists Quentin’s help as she vows to seek revenge on people who have hurt her. After the ninja incident, Margo disappears and Quentin goes on a hunt to find her.

Should Cara join the cast as Margo, she will be starring alongside Nat Wolff, who portrays Quentin.

Jake Schreier will direct the picture for Fox 2000, with Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey serving as producers.

Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber, the screenwriters who adapted the movie The Fault In Our Stars, will be writing the script.

Cara recently wrapped filming Pan, a family comedy starring Hugh Jackman and Rooney Mara that’s due to reach theatres next year.

The star has also landed roles in London Fields, Kids in Love and Tulip Fever.

Paper Towns is slated for a 2015 release to theatres.
