DC and Warner Bros are juggling so many potential film projects at the moment that we're struggling to keep up, and it's our job!

One movie that was officially announced in 2016 and barely mentioned since is Booster Gold. The film will focus on a washed-up superhero who travels back in time to use his knowledge of history to stop baddies (and more importantly, become famous and adored).

The project is being shepherded by Greg Berlanti, who is obviously hugely busy maintaining DC's Arrowverse TV shows and directing the upcoming YA movie Love, Simon too.

You'd think with his schedule he wouldn't have the time to work on Booster Gold, but not only is he still keen to do it, he still thinks there's a good chance it will happen.

"It's still in development with DC," he told TheWrap, "they're trying to figure out both the distance that we still have to travel and how we want to execute it."

Another thing that needs working out is whether the film will fit into the DCEU shared continuity. Originally WB had planned everything to be in the one universe, but after a handful of critical failures and the underwhelming box office of Justice League, we're apparently now getting films set within their own canon.

"That's really on them," Berlanti said of the project, "they're still kind of determining their order of business on that end."

One DC film we do know is happening (because it's been filmed and test screened) is Aquaman, which is due December 21.
