Marvel star Dave Bautista has thrown some serious shade at the Fast & Furious franchise. Bautista is best known for playing Drax the Destroyer, who first appeared in Guardians of the Galaxy in 2014. Since then the wrestler turned actor has appeared as Drax in three other Marvel outings, most recently Avengers: Endgame.

Besides Vin Diesel appearing in the Fast & Furious movies and also voicing Groot in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the two franchises share no connection. The Fast & Furious films started in 2001 with Rob Cohen's The Fast and the Furious and there have been a total of seven sequels since then. This year Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw will be released, marking the first-ever spin-off for the series. The series will also continue in 2020 with Fast & Furious 9, which is currently in production, before the Fast & Furious series ends with a tenth film. Bautista, however, doesn't want anything to do with the series, throwing shade at Fast & Furious on Twitter.

When responding to a fan on Twitter who suggested The Rock and John Cena should get their own spin-off with Bautista as the villain, Bautista commented, "..... thank you for your consideration... #idratherdogoodfilms". Cena was recently added to the cast of Fast & Furious 9, but no spin-off with the three WWE stars has been announced. The original tweet, along with Bautista's reaction, can be seen below:

This isn't the first time Bautista has been blunt with his opinions on social media. After Disney fired James Gunn (before rehiring him), Bautista was very vocal about the situation and even threatened to not appear in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. This also isn't the first time the Fast & Furious films have been involved with drama between actors. Johnson got a lot of criticism for moving forward with his spin-off, with Tyrese Gibson even calling him selfish. Johnson and Diesel have also been in a feud for years, which resulted in the two actors not filming scenes together for The Fate of the Furious.

While Bautista may receive some backlash from Fast & Furious fans for his comments, there will surely be people who agree with him as well. Many people would agree that the series has gotten rather over the top in recent installments, with others claiming the series should have ended after Paul Walker passed away back in 2013. Even though the main Fast & Furious series will be ending with ten films, there is no telling how many spin-offs might go into development, especially since Cena wants to make a spin-off with Johnson. Regardless of what the future holds for the Fast & Furious franchise, Bautista clearly doesn't want to be involved.
