Marvel Studios definitely knows how to treat its fans. With the release date of Doctor Strange fast approaching, the studio has been treating their audience with TV spots, featurettes, toys, and other types of merchandise (such as a calendar with that psychedelic aesthetic reminiscent of Strange’s comic panels).

Of course, Marvel has been releasing a generous amount of posters and images featuring not only the Sorcerer Supreme himself (played by Benedict Cumberbatch) but also fellow master of Mystic Arts, Wong (Benedict Wong), and night nurse Christine Palmer (Rachel McAdams). Given that Doctor Strange deals with magic and unexplored dimensions from the MCU, it’s only fair that some artwork got the motion-poster treatment to keep on going with the magical/mystical vibe.

Marvel shared the following motion posters via the official Doctor Strange Twitter account featuring Stephen Strange in full Sorcerer Supreme costume, Wong, and Christine Palmer. While the three posters have touches of color, it’s worth noting the green light coming from Strange’s Eye of Agamotto.

Both Wong and Christine Palmer come from Marvel Comics but they went through some changes in the jump from the pages to the big screen. In the comics, Wong is Strange’s manservant and sidekick; in the movie, he will be more of a mentor to Stephen Strange rather than a “tea-making manservant”.

Christine Palmer – along with Linda Carter and Georgia Jenkins – is a Night Nurse working at the Metropolitan General Hospital, where she encounters Storm and Nightcrawler. Palmer will not be dealing with mutants on the big screen but instead will be a former colleague of Doctor Stephen Strange who, as explained by Marvel Studios president, Kevin Feige, will help him “anchor his humanity”. Palmer is the second Night Nurse to appear in the MCU, the first one being Daredevil’s Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson).

Surprisingly, Marvel didn’t share an Ancient One motion poster – nor a Kaecilius one (the villain, played by Mads Mikkelsen). It’s possible that the studio will release more motion posters for the remaining characters in the coming days – as well as more pieces of merchandise, posters, and featurettes to keep the excitement and anticipation coming and growing.
