The San Diego Comic-Con 2018 schedules for Wednesday, July 18 and Thursday, July 19 have been released. The San Diego Comic-Con is an annual international convention for entertainment and comics, and it's one of the biggest pop culture conventions of the year.

Every year, dozens of movie and TV studios come to the convention to showcase sneak peaks, trailers, and footage of upcoming projects, as well as give fans an opportunity to see and hear from their favorite cast members, and not to mention participate in once-in-a-lifetime events. While it started in 1970 with comics and science fiction entertainment, it has expanded to include all sorts of pop culture and mainstream entertainment, expanding to wider demographics and providing a wider breadth for its attendees. There's always a lot to cover, which is why it's good to check out the official schedule beforehand.

Wednesday, July 19 appears to be an exciting kickoff to the 4-day event. WB TV will continue their tradition of hosting a world premiere screening, this time for the upcoming TV series Manifest. Attendees will also get to see sneak peeks at upcoming episodes of The 100 and Gotham. The Manifest premiere and special sneak peek screenings will kick off Wednesday, July 18 at 6pm in Ballroom 20. As the premieres conclude, more sneak peaks will continue at 9:30pm with New Line Cinema's Scarediego in the Horton Grand Theater. Fans of the horror genre will witness exclusive footage and clips of the studio's most anticipated upcoming horror films of 2018 - 2019. Accompanying the exclusive sneak peaks will be an unnamed special filmmaker guest.

While Wednesday opens the convention, Thursday is when things really start to take off. This year's Hall H panels will kick off with 20th Century Fox. A panel for The Predator starts at 10:30am and discusses the studio's return to the franchise, with Doctor Who: BBC America's Official Panel at 11:45am, in which Jodi Whittaker will be introduced to fans as the 13th Doctor. AMC will also come to Hall H on Thursday, first with AMC's Better Call Saul at 3:30pm and again at 4:30pm with their Breaking Bad 10th Anniversary Celebration. Better Call Saul looks to give fans not only a cast panel to discuss the show and the evolution of Jimmy McGill, but also to provide fans with a Q&A season, as well as an official preview of season 4, which premieres August 6. Breaking Bad will see the cast reunite as they fondly look back on the series and characters, not to mention its continuing legacy.

While Hall H will be showcasing some of the most anticipated events at Comic-Con, it's not the only place finding high anticipation. The Clone Wars' 10th anniversary celebration kicks off on Thursday at 11:45am, with a commemoration of 2001: A Space Odyssey's 50th anniversary at 12:30pm, which will look back at the success and mastery of Stanley Kubrick’s masterpiece. Marvel will also have a solid presence at Comic-Con on Thursday with Marvel Studios: The First 10 Years, Visual Development at 5pm, followed by Netflix: Marvel's Iron First at 6pm, which will bring exclusive information surrounding the upcoming season 2 premiere of Marvel's Iron Fist.

While these are only some of the highly anticipated events from the opening night and the first day this year's SDCC, they are not the last. Thursday, July 19 will also showcase events from the Charmed reboot, The Simpsons, The X-Files, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and Kevin Smith.
