With Captain Marvel set to hit the big screen next month, Marvel Studios has unveiled a new TV spot which highlights the unstoppable nature of the MCU's newest hero. Starring Brie Larson in the titular role, the elite Kree soldier will find herself crash-landing on Earth, where she will have to contend not only with a Skrull invasion, but questions regarding her own past. Though Captain Marvel will mark the twenty-first entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it'll be the very first female-led installment.

Also starring Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, and Jude Law in a role still shrouded in secrecy, the film will be set in 1995, as teased by the first official trailer and an excessively 90s-inspired website. As such, it will serve as a prequel to the majority of the MCU and will detail the history between Carol Danvers and Nick Fury, teased by the distress signal in the post-credit scene of Avengers: Infinity War. Captain Marvel is set to forgo the traditional MCU origin story, with Carol already in possession of her powers from the film's outset.

Marketing has ramped up in recent weeks as the film nears release. As well as a recent Super Bowl teaser and various new images, a brand-new TV spot has been posted on the official Marvel Entertainment Youtube channel. Though the new spot features a lot of moments already seen in previous trailers, including the moments in which Carol Danvers has literally stood back up after suffering some kind of fall or failure throughout the course of her life. There is, however, enough new footage to further whet appetites. As well as offering a glimpse of Carol taking part in a military ceremony, she can also been seen telling someone that she's "kind of done" with "being told what she can't do" before showing off more of her powers. Check out the full video below:

Directed by Ryan Fleck & Anna Boden, Captain Marvel will tell a non-linear story, detailing Carol's life as a member of Starforce and her time as a fighter pilot on Earth. It will also see the return of some other familiar faces, including Clark Gregg's Agent Coulson, Djimon Hounsou's Korath, and Lee Pace's Ronan the Accuser, who will play a prominent part and hopefully prove more interesting than he was in Guardians of the Galaxy.

With full plot details kept firmly under wraps, it will no doubt be the subject of much speculation as to who Captain Marvel is talking to in the trailer. With the character wearing her iconic red and blue outfit, it's likely to be later in the movie, once she's discarded the official Kree uniform. If predictions are correct that Law's character will turn out to be as much a villain as he is a mentor to Carol, it could very well be him. What little has been seen of Law in the film has featured him trying to rein Carol in and keep her in check.

Then again, it could by just as easily be Mendelsohn's Skrull leader, Talos, the recently confirmed Supreme Intelligence, or even Nick Fury himself, if he and S.H.I.E.L.D. attempt to curtail Carol's mission. Whatever the case, Carol's resolve is looking every bit a superpower as her actual abilities, and fans will get the answers they seek soon enough when Captain Marvel finally hits theaters.
