While Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will mainly focus on Henry Cavill's Man of Steel and Ben Affleck's Dark Knight, director Zack Snyder plans to introduce several other members of the Justice League, and recently teased their inclusion.

"As far as the other Justice League characters go, they play a very small role," Snyder told the Hall of Justice Podcast (via io9). "It’s really just a whisper they exist," he added, noting Wonder Woman is the only exception, as viewers will "see her really well."

Synder went on to emphasize that Dawn of Justice is first and foremost about Superman and Batman, saying the film really takes the time to "drill down on the why of them and what they stand for and their beliefs and them as characters." That said, the movie will also "begin the conversation about these guys are out there," including The Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg.

With regard to the separation of the DC film and TV universes, Snyder explained why they opted to take this route, saying "we let the characters exist in a multi-universe, and it’s a lot more fun, and a lot more value for the audience." In this way, DC fans can "see their favorite, most beloved characters on different adventures at the same time in different universes," which Snyder believes "makes it a lot more fun," allowing them to take the iconic heroes "in different directions at the same time."

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice opens March 25, 2016. According to producer Charles Roven, Ben Affleck's Batman will be "more than a vigilante." For more on Snyder's highly-anticipated superhero flick, check out this sample of Dawn of Justice's soundtrack, courtesy of WaterTower Music.
