George R. R. Martin took to his LiveJournal to thank fans for their encouragement and support regarding the delay of The Winds of Winter, his next A Song of Ice and Fire book.

His response to the "outpouring of support" came one day after the initial post, where Martin said he has "no excuses" for why the book will be delayed. "It will be done when it's done," he wrote.

Game of Thrones: Season 6 debuts in April, when the television show will pass the book's timeline.

The prolific author had "forty pages of screen comments" when he logged on Saturday, and he notes that he hasn't gotten through even half of them. (Though, this is cool—if you left a comment, Martin might actually read it. He says his "loyal minions" usually do that for him, but they're on break.)

At the bottom of his post, Martin tagged his current mood is "rejuvenated."
