Different actors prepare for their roles in different ways. Jason Momoa's particular method of preparing to be Aquaman in the Justice League movie is the sort of thing that has a tendency to disturb other actors. Diana Lane was recently on the Justice League set and while she never met the man playing the king of the oceans, she heard him getting ready for his scenes.

Jason Momoa, he's our Aquaman. I didn't get to meet him, but I heard out of my trailer him getting ready for his scene. That's how he was preparing. I'm inside trying to say, 'Save the cherry orchard!' and learn my lines for Chekhov and out the window I'm hearing this death metal while he's getting to do whatever he does in the film, which I can't wait to see him do.

Diane Lane was a guest on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to promote her role in The Cherry Orchard on Broadway when she talked a bit about preparing for that performance while simultaneously filming scenes in London for Justice League. She would sit in her trailer and run lines from the play with somebody that she was paying to help her do it whenever she had time. However, she could hear, from a nearby trailer, the sound of death metal blasting at a high volume. Somehow we're not even a little bit surprised.

Jason Momoa's Aquaman is certainly not the version that some of us grew up with. He's transformed from a very clean cut character to one who, based on the initial trailer, might drink a bit more than is healthy. Jason Momoa is a massive human being and an imposing presence. Based on what we've seen Aquaman is going to be the "heavy" of the Justice League. While Superman may technically be stronger, it really doesn't look like he'll actually be bigger than Aquaman. We could totally see Aquaman blasting death metal while hanging out in his undersea palace.

Check out Diane Lane from The Late Show below. Her rendition of what death metal sounds like is not to be missed. The key bit starts at about the 5:30 mark.

Diane Lane is looking forward to actually seeing Jason Momoa on screen as Aquaman. At this point, he's the the member of the Justice league that we've seen the least of. How excited are you to see the lord of the seven seas? Let us know in the comments below.
