Marvel Studios releases the gag reel for Avengers: Infinity War. Bringing together almost all superheroes in the MCU, Marvel Studios' 10th-anniversary offering saw Earth's Mightiest Heroes battle it out against Thanos, who wanted to wipe out half of life in the universe in hopes of restoring balance. Backed by his minions, the Black Order, the villain relentlessly hunted down all six Infinity Stones, which would allow him to achieve his goal. Despite getting help from the Guardians of the Galaxy, Black Panther and the warriors of Wakanda, as well as several other independently operating heroes, the Avengers ultimately lost as the movie ended with people, as well as plant and animals, suddenly being snuffed out of existence.

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, with a script written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, Avengers 3 is 2018's most successful movie thus far, grossing over $2 billion at the global box office. Aside from its commercial success, it also received generally positive reviews from critics, particularly praising the movie's ability to juggle its massive cast and introducing fans to one of the best villains in the MCU. Now, people can finally enjoy the movie at the comforts of their own homes with the film already out on digital while its Blu-ray will be released on August 14.

Posted on Marvel Entertainment's official YouTube channel, Infinity War's gag reel is released online days before the film is available on Blu-ray. Interestingly, despite the movie's somber ending, the actors looked like they had a lot of fun making the film, especially Paul Bettany, who botched several takes because he wasn't able to stop himself from laughing. Aside from making weird faces, there was, apparently, also a lot of dancing on set. Watch the hilarious video above.

The Infinity War Blu-ray includes more than two minutes-worth of gag reel, on top of several other bonuses such as the standard commentaries from the filmmakers and a special look at the process of creating the movie, as well as a directors' roundtable featuring notable filmmakers behind some of MCU's most unforgettable films. Given that Marvel Studios spent the last 10 years building up to the story of Avengers 3, it's especially interesting to see just how much work Kevin Feige, the Russos, and the writers put into determining the overall story of the film. The home entertainment release also includes deleted scenes - featuring the Guardians of the Galaxy, focusing on Gamora and Thanos, and revealing Happy Hogan's scrapped cameo in the film.

Most of the cast members of Avengers: Infinity War are expected to be back on set for the scheduled reshoots for Avengers 4. While half of the heroes in the film perished after Thanos' deadly snap, it's believed that most, if not all of them are being brought back to life in next year's Phase 3 capper. What's uncertain however is how prominent they will be in the movie considering that it's tipped to focus on the six original Avengers finding a way to restore balance in the universe.
