New footage for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania teases Scott Lang's upcoming encounter with Kang the Conqueror. Phase Four has officially reached its end, with Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special being released last month. With 2022 concluding in a few weeks, 2023 is going to be a huge year for Marvel Studios, with Ant-Man, one of their longest-running franchises, reaching the end of its trilogy. However, similar to Ant-Man and the Wasp setting up crucial plot points for Avengers: Endgame, the Ant-Man sequel will do the same for the next team-up films in the coming years.

With The Multiverse Saga still ongoing, Marvel Studios debuted a special look at Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania at this year's Comic Con Experience in Brazil. The new trailer partially follows Scott's overall legacy in the MCU while also previewing new footage from the trilogy finale, including another taste of Kang the Conqueror. Why Ant-Man 3 Will Be Crucial For Multiverse Saga

To follow the MCU's Infinity Saga is no easy task, to say the least, but Marvel Studios has strongly suggested that the Multiverse Saga will either match or top the iconic Thanos arc that was built up for over a decade. Following Kang's MCU debut during Loki season 1, Marvel Studios gave a little taste of Jonathan Majors' massive supervillain. However, as significant as his debut was in the Disney+ series, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will be the first MCU film that truly digs deeper into his character. Given the Quantum Realm's ties to the Multiverse, Kang being in the next Ant-Man film makes more than sense.

As much as Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is about wrapping up the Paul Rudd-starring franchise, it's really the true beginning for Kang and his master role in the Multiverse Saga. Because the MCU is tackling variants across infinite realities, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania gets to do something unique where it can tell the story of not just one, but several iterations of Kang. While it hasn't been confirmed how many Kang variants will appear, it's hard to imagine Marvel Studios not having Majors play a number of different takes of his MCU villain in the film.

While Phase Six will be Kang's ultimate time to shine, especially in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and, most likely, Avengers: Secret Wars, it will still be exciting to see how far he goes in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. With how far they are able to go with the Multiverse, there is a lot to look forward to with Kang, especially with someone as talented as Majors portraying him. Where he will appear after Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania remains to be seen. It feels safe to speculate that Kang will at least show up in one, if not two, more MCU projects before taking center stage in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. With only a few months to go before Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania hits theaters, the MCU will soon get a better idea of what to expect of Kang.
