Solo character posters for Ant-Man and The Wasp reveal the best look yet at Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet van Dyne. Marvel Studios went small to end Phase 2 and introduced Paul Rudd's Scott Lang as this universe's Ant-Man moving forward. He did so with the help of Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly), but many viewers were just wondering why she didn't suit up herself. That is finally happening in the sequel that hits theaters this summer, where Wasp also receives co-billing in the title. But, there will be more than just one Ant-Man and one Wasp.

One of the biggest questions left after Ant-Man was the status of Hope's mom and Hank Pym's (Michael Douglas) wife Janet. She was the original Wasp who disappeared in the 80s after going subatomic and being lost within the Quantum Realm. The casting of Pfeiffer indicated we'll finally meet her in the sequel, but she's been held out of the film's trailers and almost all of the marketing.

Marvel released a series of solo character posters for Ant-Man and The Wasp today which reveal the best look at Pfeiffer's character so far. She isn't the only one to get a solo poster, as Ant-Man, Wasp, and Hank each get one of their own. Additionally, the sequel's villain Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen) and Hank's former coworker Bill Foster aka Goliath (Laurence Fishburne) receive posters too.

This look at Janet further confirms that she still has the original Wasp suit, but how much of it is left is still in question. It appears Janet has somehow found clothing in the Quantum Realm that winds up hiding most of the suit. Only a portion of the helmet remains hanging around Pfeiffer's neck, but the chest plate looks different. Has Janet actually made modifications to the suit in the decades spend in the Quantum Realm? There's plenty of mystery surrounding what she's actually been up to throughout the years, and her look suggests she hasn't just been floating in limbo.

The rest of the posters are pretty standard looks at the characters we've seen in prior movies or throughout the marketing. The sequel does sport a rather small cast after all, so unless Marvel's marketing team decides to release some for Walton Goggins, Randall Park, Michael Peña, David Dastmalchian, or T.I. these should be the last of them. With the movie roughly a month away from hitting theaters, the marketing campaign is about to kick into high gear though, so nothing is off the table. Since these posters offered up the best look at Pfeiffer, it will be interesting to see if the onslaught of TV spots and clips that has already started will actually show off some footage of her that isn't in flashback form.
