Amy Adams has insisted she doesn't want her character Lois Lane to be entangled in a love triangle in Man Of Steel 2.

It was revealed last week (December 5) that Fast & Furious actress Gal Gadot has been cast as Wonder Woman in the forthcoming Batman vs Superman superhero mash-up, with Henry Cavill set to reprise his role as Clarke Kent and Ben Affleck chosen to play Gotham's vigilante crimefighter.

In an interview with Coming Soon about how Wonder Woman's arrival would impact her own character, Adams said: "I hope that I can be involved with a woman on screen where we're not in a love triangle. That would be fun. Maybe where we team up together and we work as teammates instead of adversaries."

Speaking previously about Gadot's casting, director Zack Snyder said: "Wonder Woman is arguably one of the most powerful female characters of all time and a fan favorite in the DC Universe. Not only is Gal an amazing actress, but she also has that magical quality that makes her perfect for the role. We look forward to audiences discovering Gal in the first feature film incarnation of this beloved character."

Snyder will start shooting 'Batman Vs Superman' in Michigan early next year (2014), with Adams' Man Of Steel castmates Diane Lane and Laurence Fishburne also inking deals to reprise their roles. Warner Bros has given the film - whose official title has yet to be confirmed - a release date of July 17, 2015.
