We have about three episodes left of the hit AMC series Breaking Bad, but while the journey for Jesse Pinkman is coming to an end, the career of Aaron Paul is just kicking off. After winning two Emmy awards for his work on Breaking Bad in a role that will likely never be eclipsed, Paul is attempting to break into movies to continue his successful career.

His first foray into the realm of film post-Breaking Bad will be the big screen adaptation of the hit video game series Need for Speed. Entertainment Weekly published new photos of the film that give us a look at Jesse Pinkman outside of the world of Breaking Bad and in a universe fill of fast cars and high drama.

Paul told EW.com that Need for Speed shouldn’t be mistaken for a Fast & Furious knock off and that the set was unlike any he’s ever been on before.

”This set was different than anything I’ve been on,” he says. ”You’re walking through a very thick cloud of testosterone.” Still, Paul says Need for Speed shouldn’t be mistaken for a Fast & Furious knockoff: ”It’s really a throwback to the Steve McQueen era of car movies. I think people are going to be pleasantly surprised.’

Need for Speed is due out in theaters in March 2014, long after the conclusion of Breaking Bad which wraps up at the end of September. The role will be massively important to the career of Paul as he must now distance himself as far as he can from the character of Jesse Pinkman, lest he fall into the category of actor who couldn’t outgrow their biggest most noteworthy roles.
