While moviegoers are still waiting for some of the buzz-worthy October releases to make their way to a theater nearby, November is here with a slate full of blockbusters. In fact, some of this month’s releases might even rival the top grossers from earlier this summer. That is, if fans flock to them like we think they might.

Obviously, there are two big releases this month that will likely dominate the conversation, but there are a couple other films that might be worth seeing as well. And so, without further ado, here are the five films we’re looking forward to in November:

Interstellar (Release Date: November 5th/7th)

Christopher Nolan is one of the few directors that has earned the right to make blockbusters his way. His success with the Batman films has created a buzz around every release, but even then Interstellarfeels like something special. What can we say, the man knows how to spin a compelling tale and he gets the rare opportunity to do so with massive budgets.

Boasting a top-tier cast of Oscar winners and nominees, and a (fittingly) secretive plot, this is arguably the movie of November. Early reviews have already pegged Interstellar as another Nolan triumph, and at this point it only seems like the sky’s the limit. Or is it space?

Big Hero 6 (Release Date: November 7th)

When Disney announced they had bought Marvel for $4 billion, we knew the mouse house was investing most overtly in a future with The Avengers. But that partnership is also set to deliver even more unique content, starting with this month’s Big Hero 6.

Loosely based on a relatively obscure comic book, Big Hero 6 has big expectations if only because it’s Disney Animation’s follow-up to Frozen. Even more than that, though, the Marvel/Disney connection could prove to be a big draw and help the film sustain a deep and profitable run through November. Also, Baymax looks to be one of those characters that kids flock to like Scrat, The Minions, or Toothless.

Dumb and Dumber To (Release Date: November 14th)

If they had announced Dumb and Dumber To 20 years ago, it would have been an instant hit. Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels were so perfect as Harry and Lloyd that the opportunity to see their continued hijinks would have been hard to pass up. But now that a lot of time has passed, it’s unclear how much of a draw those characters are.

The good news is this isn’t When Harry Met Lloyd; everyone is back on-board including The Farrelly Brothers as directors. They’ve also smartly tried to use the time off to create a concept that makes sense. But bringing the band back together doesn’t always work out as planned. Color us curious, but prepared for this one to fall flat.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1 (Release Date: November 21st)

While Interstellar may be the #1 must-see for us, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1 is that for everyone else. Say what you will about Lionsgate splitting this final film into two parts, but there’s no denying both films will make a ton of money. This is a case where a franchise is building steam, not losing it.

Jennifer Lawrence is an even bigger star now and the franchise has welcomed millions of new fans into the fold. The sequel is also releasing at such a time that it should hold very well through Thanksgiving. Moviegoers have been on this journey for a short time – much shorter than they were with Harry Potter – but they still likely have to see how it all ends. That journey begins very soon.

Horrible Bosses 2 (Release Date: November 26th)

The first Horrible Bosses was a breakout hit for its trio of comedians, Jason Bateman, Charlie Day, and Jason Sudeikis. It also had the draw of seeing three veteran actors play against type. And, most importantly, it was funny. But as we mentioned with Dumb and Dumber, Horrible Bosses 2 will have the difficult task of recapturing that magic.

The hope is that Horrible Bosses 2 can be just as, if not funnier, than the first, and early trailers suggest the trio hasn’t missed a beat. They’ve also brought new veterans into the fold like Chris Pine and Christoph Waltz. At the end of the day, though, it all comes down to word of mouth. If Horrible Bosses 2 can generate that buzz like the first did, then it should be a nice holiday distraction.

Christopher Nolan or Hunger Games: which will end up winning November? It’s a question that will unfortunately have to wait until the very end of the month, but luckily there are still some (potentially) worthwhile releases in between. Comedy and animation fans have it especially good, with two releases per genre. And let us not forget the expansions of films like Birdman, Foxcatcher, and Whiplash, which are sure to be contenders come awards season time.

But what about you: which films are you looking forward to seeing this month? Which do you think will be the highest grossing film of November?

Once again, here are the five films we’re looking forward to this month:

November 5th: Interstellar (35mm, IMAX)

November 7th: Interstellar, Big Hero 6

November 14th: Dumb and Dumber To

November 21st: The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1

November 26th: Horrible Bosses 2
