UPDATE: Invites are now closed

Let's start this announcement out with some wonderful news, we would like to give a huge welcome to our newest Assistant Director budgie. We're very excited to have him aboard, and we can't wait for you all to get to know him too!

Next, we'd like to let everyone know that PassThePopcorn will be closing down our invite system until further notice. We're giving everyone a weeks notice, so if you want to invite someone, now is the time to do it, because after next Monday the 18th, the invite system will be closed and it will not be possible to invite anyone.

We're also going to be de-whitelisting uTorrent Mac 1.6.x due to a bug where peers sending bad data are not banned, much like the bug that occurred with uTorrent 3.1 a few months ago. So if you're using uTorrent Mac 1.6.x now is the time to downgrade.

We'd also like to ask anyone using uTorrent Remote to make sure they aren't repeatedly downloading .torrent files over and over. You can check this by going to your profile page and seeing if your download count is extremely high outside the parenthesis. If this is happening please discontinue using uTorrent Remote and send a staff pm to ensure that your account is not disabled.

Finally, what you've all been waiting for, INVITES ARE OPENING AGAIN! There's going to be quite a few changes to the invite system, but invites are once again open and available for inviting your friends and family to come be a part of the PTP family. We remind you that these invites are for people you know, and that trading, selling, or giving away of invites on a public forum is strictly prohibited.

Here's a summary of the changes being made to the invite system:

There will no longer be monthly invites given for any classes below TM+.
Invites will still be available in the Bonus Store but the price has been raised to 750,000 BP per invite.
Recruitment threads are going to be reopened on other trackers but will be handled exclusively by staff and approved representatives.
The number of invites for all users member+ have been reset to 1.



We recognize that the new system and policies are a big change from the old way invites were handled, and we do not make these decisions lightly. We also understand that this makes invites more difficult to use, but we feel these measures are necessary for the continued security and longevity of PassThePopcorn.

no, well not for me.
I even share an account with my brother and a friend...(so 3 different ip's) i have been doing this for a few months

When we say IP change, we mean country IP change...
Sharing an account from the same country/city is most of the times safe. As far as you are not downloading the same torrents twice of course !

They ban A LOT anyway man... They ban A LOT, even invites. Accounts are getting banned even more.
This is one of the 5-6 trackers i am recommending to STAY AWAY !!!

It is funny, as about half a year ago or smth you were recommending it in conjunction with CHDBits as two best for movies..
