    Description

PTH (PassTheHeadphones) is a new music tracker running on Gazelle. The site features both lossless and lossy music, plus select other categories, including applications, eBooks, audio books, comics and music-related eLearning videos. Although the site is new, it is growing at a rapid pace. There are currently over 300,000 Perfect FLACs uploaded and 620,000 torrents overall. You may recognize features such as collages or requests. The forums is very active and there are discussions on subjects such as general music discussion on various genres, or serious discussion on trending topics. There are also many user written tutorials. PTH took a completely different approach to Apollo.rip by opting to stay invite only from the beginning and tracking down Elite/Torrent Master users from PTP & BTN and other high ranked trackers. PtH looks absolutely promising. I hope the best for them (and anyone else trying to fill the gaping void left by wcd!)

I'm on both PTH and Apollo, PTH may have more torrents but it's no use since they're unseeded, i see a bright future for Apollo since it has a bigger userbase and gives out regular freeleech, gives FL tokens on uploading a certain number of torrents, basically encouraging everyone to upload torrents unlike PTH. Apollo will get better than PTH as the time passes.
@whiteLight, same pinch, i never joined What.CD as well, PTH is my first music tracker apollo being the second (and better).

I totally agree. The more torrents are useless if they are dead

So most users can enjoy the best music tracker (Apollo) and some "elite wannabe" users just feel happy because they have a rare tracker (PassTheHeadphones)

PTH is not good. How the hell do they plan to remain active with that kind of "acceptance" requirements? Really, they don't know what the word "community" stands for. For God's sake, they act as if they were the original authors of all the copyrighted material that's being freely distributed over there, cynic pirates! Damn kids, they have a lot to learn...
I'm not saying this kind of material should be very easy to obtain or that the highest quality of content in digital form is meant for everyone, as there are many people that really don't care for quality or for the kind of content; but an interview can't really indicate how well a member will do, its history, or what their intentions are. For that, there are moderators to care for their site and watch closely, simple as that. If they don't have the time, the personnel, or the money needed to run it, or even the will to do it just because they like to do it, don't bother maintaining a tracker or try to disguise it as very popular by making it invite-only.
To the PTH admins> A community can never grow big and be persistent if no risks are taken. And proof of that are all the comments above, many of your torrents being unseeded means many of your members don't plan to support you. Remain like that, you're digging your own grave...and your competence is helping, which is really funny!

Well said, actually PTH is trying to be exclusive which they totally aren't, you can see that TI even has GA's for PTH. PTH can't have a bright future, they've big dreams to be the next What.CD although i don't know the fuck how're they planning to do it. WCD has over 200k members and PTH think they can be WCD with just 20k? oh well..., Many people say pth is better compared to apollo so i went ahead and asked the reason and the answer was pretty stupid, "APL has had open-signups so it's shit", really? WCD had open signup once as well, was it shit? People really need to grow up and learn, some elite kiddies will keep on whining about PTH being better but trust me APL will go ahead of PTH, most of the requests filled on PTH are re-uploads from Apollo (since i did a lot of re-uploads from APL to get some buffer on PTH). Just as @TheTrader mentioned above some "elite wannabe" users will be happy because they've a hard to get in tracker, i'm just waiting for the smog to clear up (won't take longer than 6-8 more months).
    sr71 and Fenster like this.
