DESCRIPTION

HD-SportBits is a Chinese based sports tracker established in April 2013. Originally setup as a NBA tracker, the content has broadened to include all major US sports, football/soccer, racing and combat sports. As of this review the tracker has 7,000 active torrents.

On face value, HD-SB looks like one of the best sports trackers on the net. It focuses on a variety of sports with excellent pre-times in SD and HD quality. They specialise in their own releases which are 720p 60fps and 1080i. The tracker is laid out nicely with each torrent easily identified with its labels, screenshots and media info. The bonus point system is rewarding and you will find a number of freeleech and double upload torrents.

The one caveat with this site though, and it is a large one, is the required subscription costs that turn the focus of this tracker from a community for sharing into a business. I have no issues with donating to trackers, as I understand it is a time-consuming investment with hefty bills that need to be paid, however, users will donate when they see fit and it should definitely not be a requirement.

As a normal user you will be restricted from downloading all content until a certain period of time lapses. This time period is vague and never properly explained. For some torrents it is only a couple of days while for others a couple of weeks. To be granted access you can make a monthly contribution of 15USD or a lifetime fee of 150USD. There are other periodic options that do offer slight savings. In addition to this, certain ‘flagship’ torrents cannot be downloaded immediately even for contributors and are given VIP status with its own set of prices.

If you have the money then by all means make the investment as this is a great tracker for sports. There are very few options for general sport trackers since the closures of Sport-Scene and TheSportsTorrentNetwork. Be wary that you won't get much out of the tracker without making a financial contribution.

Pre-times Excellent pre-times for most of its content. Games will be uploaded within 15 minutes of finishing while some popular games will have each half uploaded separately for even quicker viewing.

Speed Above average speeds for most of the popular content. The less favoured content does suffer in speed due to the limited user base that can access torrents immediately. All uploaders are required to have atleast 2MB/s upload speeds.

Content The site has come a long way since its early days of NBA dominated content. You will find about 8 different sports from a variety of competitions. The tracker is slowly adding more sports to its repertoire. There are a large proportion of dead torrents though.

Community For a tracker that brings together sports fans from across the globe, the lack of a vibrant community is disappointing. The main topic of conversation is basketball with the odd thread about the latest sporting event. There are subsections for Chinese speakers and VIPs. Unfortunately there is no IRC network but staff are helpful and will answer any of your queries either through PM or the forums.
