Description: eBookVortex is a pretty general eLearning site, with plenty of topics from Oracle to comics, to biographies and memoirs (you'll find all the categories below). While it's no powerhouse, it's a good place for beginners trying to feel things out, and there is certainly some nice content. I've personally enjoyed my stay, and it's easy to gain upload, earn seed bonus, and then claim that bonus. There are also certain little nice things which they offer like allowing you to choose your theme and easy access to invites.

Home/News
The home news page will host your standard updates about the site, and some of your own personal data. You'll also find a shoutbox, but it hasn't been posted in since May.

Tracker Stats
Here's some advanced statistics, as you can see there is a decent userbase, but an extremely small number of torrents, there's about 4 torrents for every user. However, users seem to check in relatively often (727 a day), but then again, only about half the members are seeding anything.

On the stats page there is a lot of info, including the Hall of Fame, Site Statistics, and Advanced Statistics as you just saw.

Here's the Hall of Fame which showcases the top users in categories like uploads, donations, and seeders.

And here's the Site Statistics where you can find specific info on the number of users, total donations, and more.

Torrent Categories
eBookVortex has 49 different categories of torrents so there is plenty of content for everyone, and here are each of the categories:

Browse Page
Nothing special here, just your standard new torrents, and a search bar.

Freeleech
Sadly, there isn't any freeleech that I could find at this date and time.

Forums
The forums are not really active at all, there is about one post a day, and not a great community. I wouldn't call it a community at all.

Rules
The rules is a small page, very simple and very short. There should be nothing confusing here. The trouble is it's actually a bit difficult to get to depending on which theme you have chosen.

Bonus System
I like the bonus system, but it is really easy to get lots of points. You can only buy upload and invites, but that's fine. Because of how easy it is to get points, you'll see a lot of invites around the forums and your ratio should never be in the bad. I personally just wiped out a few thousand of my points for fun, but I'll be seeing them back soon ha.

Userclasses/Promotion
There are only a few userclasses:
  • Uploader
  • User
  • VIP
  • Moderator
  • Super Moderator
  • Administrator
The Uploader class is 3 members dedicated to uploading specifically, even though only one of them has been active in the last three months.

I'm not sure how you can earn VIP due to the fact that there is not section in the FAQ or forums about user classes and no VIP's actually exist, but it is listed as a class in the member search.

User is your standard user, and the rest are staff positions.

Invite System
The invitation system is pretty standard and you can buy invites with the seed bonus you earn by seeding torrents, and invites are dirt cheap and easy to get.

Donation System/ Page
On the donation page you can help fill the £50 the tracker needs a month to continue running. For all donations you will gain upload traffic and the rate is either 512MB per £ for donations under £10, and for those above £10 the rate is 2GB flat plus 768MB per £. They also have the option to add a monthly donation, instead of a single.

Ratings & Personal Commentary
eBookVortex is a nice little site with something for just about everyone. The community is lacking, and there isn't much torrent activity either, if the site can stay alive, it's a great place for beginners, and those just looking for some decent ebooks. It's a small, but nice tracker.

Speed (Torrents): 2/5 - In all reality it's small Ebooks so this doesn't matter, but seeders are few, and not always so good
Speed (Site): 3/5 - Browses perfectly fine, but hangs up often
Content: 3/5 - Some nice stuff, not everything, but a good plethora of everything
Community: 1/5 - Completely non-existent, they're not even trying[/QUOTE]
