Wolfenstein 2 The New Colossus cracked ahead of its release today. The game’s crack has been available for the past 15 hours at different pirate websites and forums. It is not hard to guess that someone from the development team possibly gave hackers the code before release that allowed hackers to crack Wolfenstein 2 The New Colossus.

This may come as a surprise to many that a game is cracked before release but you will be even more surprised to know that this isn’t the first time we have seen something. Before The New Colossus, Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs 2 and Assassin’s Creed Syndicate were also cracked before release.

If my memory serves me right, Far Cry 4 was also cracked several days before release. It seems some of the developers leak the code and are in with the hackers.

The game is still 2 hours away from release and its Steam page has no mention of Denuvo. Not that Denuvo would have helped, it would still have slowed the process of cracking a bit. But it seems the game isn’t using any anti-tamper software to protect itself which possibly made life easier for the hackers.

Bethesda removed Denuvo from The Evil Within 2 hours before its release.

Denuvo has proven to be a disaster and doesn’t really help deal with the process of hacking. Devs are removing it from their game as it affects the performance of the title. Bethesda isn’t expected to make a statement about the crack but if they, we’ll let you know.
