Waffles Staff Picks: October 2015 Edition

Waffles Staff Picks - October Edition
Welcome to the October edition of the Waffles.fm Staff Picks. Please remember we do not look to balance genres or purposely seek out diversity - these are simply albums by bands that we love, and hope that you find something you enjoy as well. Note that each pick may be an individual track, or an entire album (for the purpose of the theme). In every case, however, the entire album will be FL. Thanks go out to our resident designer groovyds for creating the collage for this month.

If you notice that there are missing formats for any of these , feel free to add them, then, and this is important, report them using the report feature, asking for the torrent to be made freeleech. Remember, if you don't see the red FL banner on the torrent page, the torrent isn't freeleech.

Artist: Suzanne Ciani

Album: Lixiviation

Track: Princess with Orange Feet

I downloaded a bunch of her music after finding an old tv clip where she seemed both genius and totally out of her mind. I don't really know what this album is, it seems to be a compilation of random stuff.

Artist: Orange Juice

Album: Coals To Newcastle

This is an Edwyn Collins curated box set covering the whole career of Orange Juice, from the impossible to find early Postcard singles, to their final, very slick album. All the albums, and more! Orange Juice is a key influence of the C-86 scene, and also an influence of Belle and Sebastian, among others more recent. Orange Juice's first album is a great one, and the BBC sessions here are quite nice too. Certainly Orange Juice is a very orange thing indeed.

Artist: Flexe

Album: Programmable love songs vol. 1

Track(s): The orange love domain , I love (Orange things)

A much overlooked side project of everybody's favorite Flashbulb. A squelchy, hallucinogen inspired hybrid of acid, straight bit crushed beats and catchy 8-bit riffs. Despite being several magnitudes less serious than his other work it's still really well made and a really fun listen. Plus I think it gives some insight into Mr. Jordan's favorite color

Orange? First thing I thought of was sunrise/sunset. Then I thought of this track. The album cover is pretty orange, as well. Oh, and it's an awesome album, too!
