The piracy website Tamilrockers.com, which is known for uploading the pirated versions of newly released Tamil films, has thrown an open challenge, which is bound to have the makers of the Rajinikanth-starrer Kaala worried.

The administrators of the website have put out word on social media that they will be uploading the entire film on their website on the first day of its release before the first show is screened.

It may be recalled that the Rajinikanth-starrer, which is directed by Pa Ranjith and features Nana Patekar, among others, is scheduled to be released on 7 June.

Already, the producers are expecting trouble as there are rumours doing the rounds that pro-Kannada outfits in Karnataka are planning to stall the release of the superstar's film in the state, as Rajinikanth had said that Karnataka must implement the Supreme Court order in the Cauvery water dispute.

In these circumstances, Rajinikanth has cancelled a programme that was to be held in Hyderabad today to promote Kaala.

It remains to be seen what action the makers of Kaala initiate to face down the challenge posed by the pirates.
