As some of you will have noticed we have some pixies in the system. Hopefully friendly ones that will be gone soon.
As far as we can tell only the home page is affected, so If you are getting a Wiki page when you try to log in you can use the link directly to the browse page to access the torrents. (I will put the link in the comments), or if you are quick you can click the torrent icon before the home page reverts to the Wiki one.
I will of course update you as and when

Looks like javascript is the problem, You can access the site with no redirect by blocking javascript. it isnt a perm fix but it makes the homepage(except shoutbox,icons,logo, etc) work.

If you don't know already but you should always block javascript anyways to prevent XSS Attacks and to also to stop people just jacking your browser in general

Non UK uploads - some changes

As you all know we are first and foremost a UK TV tracker, but that we have also for many years offered a small selection of Commonwealth and foreign shows as an added bonus.

The original aim was to offer only the best of the best in drama, soaps, documentaries and comedy from outside the UK. However, the situation has been getting out of hand and is now very far removed from our original premise of a few strategic shows to enhance our UK content.

We recognise that many fine shows come from abroad, and we absolutely do not want (or intend) to deprive anyone of shows that they enjoy watching, rest assured of that. Nevertheless, it has long been of concern to the staff that on the browse page our core UK shows are sometimes lost among a sea of non UK shows, often in multiple formats.
We really need to thin them out a bit, so after much discussion, we have decided to simply limit HD uploads of non UK shows to the original categories of drama, documentary and comedy.

We realise that this decision will not be popular with everybody, but it is necessary and will reduce the workload for both uploaders and staff, as well as simplifying the browse page for members looking for their UK fix.

So what has actually changed and what does it mean?

Basically, this means that only drama, documentaries and comedy can now be uploaded in both SD and HD. All other genres should be uploaded in SD.

HD will no longer be accepted for non UK reality, game shows, panel shows, entertainment, news, cookery programmes, factual, etc. unless prior approval has been given in the "Can I Upload This?" forum (CIUT).

Any currently running series in these categories that are being uploaded in both HD and SD will of course be completed in both resolutions.

UK shows are not affected in any way.
