HEIDECKER & WOOD: GOOD AS IS (2007 – 2015)
Comedian Tim Heidecker and composer Davin Wood’s project subverts and pays tribute to dadwave in equal measure. In Good As Is (2007 – 2015), the duo shares a 58-track collection of lost and unfinished songs. (Also included: epic, sheep-driven cover art.)


HONORA: KILO TWO BRAVO
Kilo Two Bravo is an excruciatingly tense thriller about heroism, survival, and the reality of modern warfare: the true story of a group of soldiers on a mission to neutralize a Taliban roadblock in Afghanistan, who find themselves marooned in the middle of a minefield, Unlock the BAFTA-nominated film in exchange for a pay-what-you-want donation supporting veterans’ charities and conflict zone reporting.


JOYWAVE: CULTCO WORLD TOUR USA 2015

OCTAVE MINDS: LIVE FROM TEUFELSBERG BERLIN, 2015
Industrial electronic meets virtuoso instrumentation in Octave Minds, a collaboration between prolific German producer Boys Noize and GRAMMY Award-winning pianist Chilly Gonzales. In 2014, the duo released their much-lauded self-titled debut album. In September, they played their first show– in an abandoned spy station. Cop the full set here.

Trampled By Turtles started out on the side: a way for musicians Dave Simonett, Ryan Young, Tim Saxhaug, Erik Berry and Dave Carroll to take a break from their rock projects and explore acoustic instruments. One by one, their other bands fell to the wayside. Eight albums in, Trampled By Turtles has solidified a brave new world of bluegrass: frenetic, raucous Americana by way of punk rock. SUN DRUG: EP
Sun Drug’s EP cast a powerful spell. Recorded in 2014 under the guidance of musical shaman, Rocco DeLuca, the collection pushes past psych and prog and genre norms, into something wilder: a map (literally) of ruin and renewal. THEM&US: CHAPTER 2 – THE GREAT ESCAPE
Them&Us, a new project from Lee Michael (aka beatbox pioneer Killa Kela) and vocalist Ami Carmine, pioneers a story-driven language for electronic music: equal parts epic fantasy and dark rave.
