SNES Classic Edition Has Already Been Hacked
The SNES Classic Edition hit retail only last week, but the hacking community has already managed to crack its firmware open.
The miniature system has now been hacked to allow users to load on their own library of games. Since the system only comes with a limited amount of games, so this is good news to a lot of folks who may have wanted to play certain titles that didn’t make the cut with the standard loadout.
It’s not too surprising that the SNES Mini has been hacked so quickly, since it uses the same internal components as last year’s NES Classic Edition, which was also hacked relatively quickly.
Keep in mind that downloading games that you do not own an original copy of does fall into the realm of piracy, even though they’re old games.
