Slovenian hackers claimed they managed to break into the Federal Bureau of Investigation and uploaded email addresses and personal data relating to the director to online storage website called Pastebin.
The Slovenian branch of Anonymous confirmed they had posted the FBI domain email addresses and passwords for about 70 agents, while adding that the collected log-in details were “not all ours”.

Anonymous also uploaded a short profile on FBI director James Comey.
The data included his date of birth, his wife’s name, the date they got married, his education and the geographical coordinates of his residence.
In addition, a couple of internal FBI portals are also included in the post – the agency’s Virtual Academy site from its training division, and the Agents Association.

It was revealed that 2 of the FBI’s domain name servers for www.fbi.gov were affected, and the hackers stole data from 7 open ports on the servers.
The Pastebin link was posted by Anonymous Slovenia on their Facebook Page, with a comment “Laughing at your security”.

The famous hacking collective has been out of the headlines lately due to infighting amongst its members.
Anonymous had developed a reputation for being script kiddies arranging DDoS attacks. However, the recent news suggests that there are still good hackers in the outfit who keep working despite of the group’s shortcomings.
