As there seems to be some interest in having an offical chat channel for SC, we would like to properly address this topic. Unfortunately, the staff currently does not have any spare time to manage a chat channel so we would like to recruit the IRC operators from the userbase instead.

Our current channel access details at brokensphere have been misplaced and are nowhere to be found so we will set up a new channel. But before we do, we would need 2-3 volunteers to run it.

As an IRC OP you are free to do whatever you want with the channel as long as it remains a comfy place to have discussions about cinema and our community. We may even consider building a few integrations between the site and the channel at some point in the future.
