Happy 2nd Birthday, PTP! ...

* As some of you may know, PTP was founded two years ago this month! As such we will have various surprises for you over the course of the next 3 weeks, the first being that we will be increasing the user cap by 5,000 to 25,000 today! Stay tuned, we will have many surprises this month!



* I'd like to thank everyone who sent in a review last week, we got a lot more than expected. Nuked won the contest with a review of Submarino, which is this weeks film club pick. Second and third place reviews will also be posted to the blog over the next coming days, and all prizes have been handed out. The contest will be an ongoing thing. Instead of the contest winners being guaranteed a spot on the film club, this honor will be reserved for the most outstanding reviews as deemed necessary. More information on the contest. * We have a new assistant director! Say hello to hyperion! Hyperion will not only be helping with site moderation, but he will be helping our developers bug fix and code new features. Along these lines, 312c will also be stepping up and helping with the development of the site.



* Once again, thank you to all of you who designed a logo for the blog and/or site! The users have spoken, and Divius's banner will be used for the blog logo once the updated version is completed. Not to let two great logos go to waste, Steek's "Phil" logo and z0diak's "Poppy" will both have new homes on PTP.me! Once again, stay tuned to see what we have in store for these.



* And finally, a donations update. I am happy to report that donations over the month of September almost perfectly ($10 short) covered the months of August and September combined. As was said before, these overages paid for the out of pocket costs during the month of August, which are now paid up. The current donations count is up to date, we have 32% of the $450 required for the month of October. $350 of this will cover the production server, and we are budgeting $100 for a new IRC/Backup/Development server. More details will come once we follow through on this commitment.
