We published a previous story about a popular torrent streaming app called Popcorn Time, which came and then went away fast, much to the disappointment of many people. Since publishing our original story, the developer team called Time4Popcorn, has provided a spin-off app of the original app which has been available on time4popcorn.eu. Versions of the app that are available now include; Android 4.2 and above, Mac OSX 10.7 and above, Windows 7 and above, and also versions for both 32-bit and 64-bit Linux users.

When viewing the team’s GitHub page where the source code exists for the app, we see that Time4Popcorn has just recently added the Popcorn Time app for Android. A full video stating “Popcorn Time and Android Together at Last” is available on YouTube.

The app uses the BitTorrent network to download and then share contemporary, high quality, both old and brand new ‘copyrighted movies’ and TV shows within about ten minutes while your computer is still uploading bits of data to others, a process known as seeding.

Posted on Popcorn Time’s website, is news that bug fixes and improvements will be released daily, and that Chromecast support will be available within a few days. The team also announced that they plan to release a version for Windows XP soon.

This very popular pirate streaming app has not received any permission from the content owners' for the movies and shows available on the site’s catalogue. The cause of the original Popcorn Time service’s shut down, even before its official launch, was a warning from the MPAA. The app’s interface resembles Netflix.
