"After a whirlwind 12 hours, uTorrent clients 1.8, 2.0.4 and 2.2.1 have been restored. We apologize profusely for the inconvenience this caused. It’s clearly on our shoulders that this happened the way it did and we take full responsibility. The decision was made quickly and without an announcement due to the perceived urgency of the matter. We needed to get an understanding and also gain control of it before it became worse. We took a precautionary step, a step many could argue was a step too far. It was clearly not done the way we normally do things and for that we’re truly sorry. Our paramount priority is to protect you and the site. We felt we were doing that.

Going forward, any client that is to be blacklisted will be announced on the front page with plenty of lead time to accommodate and prepare for the upcoming changes you'll need to make. As of now, we are not going to be blacklisting these clients. We have found a better way to handle this exploit that doesn’t involve blacklisting clients. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this short period of time while we found a better path forward."
