New version of BitStreamer available to all users

BitStreamer was fully rewritten some time ago (the source code was rewritten using other technologies). We were not happy with the previous version, in fact none of us (from the crew) used it. Due to the way the previous version was written (among other things, an integrated video player within an application that did not have a large number of options and caged at 4k content), how much space it took, how many resources it used, as well as plans for the future (different from ours ) of the creators of some libraries that we used, the nightmare associated with maintaining new versions of the application on several platforms and other problems decided that it had to be rewritten. Enriched by the experience of the previous version, we began to create its successor. The result of this work is the new version of BitStreamer available on 14 platforms, occupying 6x less space, consuming several times less resources, with new possibilities such as streaming to other devices such as TV, game consoles, or using your favorite video player to consume video content.
An additional result of this is that now most of the staff are using the new BitStreamer version
Less than 2 months ago, we released a new version on the forum ( (link) ) so that forum users can test it before reaching a wider group of users.
The whole description of BitStreamer, its capabilities, frequently asked questions, screenshots and links to download the application can be found in the BitStreamer tab.
Let us know in the comments to this news what you think about the new BitStreamer version.

Cheers! PT crew
