Required ratio is now based on your Share Score!

As of yesterday, your required ratio is calculated based on your Share Score. You can see the new calculations and rules here. Need a refresher on how Share Score works? See the wiki here. Want to see your own Share Score? You can find it in your profile underneath your avatar, or can go to it directly here.

Required ratio is still the same for Share Scores between 0 and 5. Because you can get a Share Score of 5 with a 100% Seed/Snatch ratio, you can still obtain the exact same required ratio for the same Seed/Snatch %'s as you did before. The main difference is that now having a good seedtime or seed size can also reduce your required ratio. In short, nobody's required ratio will go up, it can only go down!

For users with a Share Score greater than 5, your required ratio will become lower than it could in the past. In fact, if you have a Share Score of 12 or more, you will have no required ratio basically making the site ratio free for you!

The reasoning behind this change is simple. Two things are valuable for torrents: speed and time. Speed is rewarded through ratio, time is now rewarded through your Share Score. We now have a balanced scale where you can either seed long-term, or maintain a good ratio. No more must you maintain an amazing ratio even though you keep stuff seeded for ages.

@YusukeUramesh - i know they are not directly connected with your account, but in case someone is logged into his/her GGn account, it is possible to see those people used an link from TI.org - maybe not that bad at all, but also maybe not the perfect safety for everyone
