Site update

Dear Users,

MTVStaff would like to say we're sorry for the half functioning state of our site lately; all of us are starting to show withdrawal symptoms for our favourite content, so we thought it wise to give a bit of insight into the issue.

At the moment our glorious backend OPSEC (he escapes the cage occasionally heh), has taken one of his patented extended leaves. This happened at the early stages of the current global pandemic and we expected him to be back some time ago; in his absence we have kept doing what we can but slowly the maintenance that needs to be done builds leaving us in this current state.

We are accessing every channel (limited for OPSEC reasons) we have to: first and foremost to check if he is ok (fingers crossed really you are buddy), and then: ask him to do his duty and clean up the backend with the soap brush he so skillfully weilds. We are somewhat worried, but not overly so (servers are paid for well in advance), as he has done this before and we are sure he is taking care of RL stuff (or left his laptop keys on the train), just not for quite so long.

We would also like to thank the other sites who have reached out their hands to offer help to us (you know who you are), it really does mean a lot to us and we wish we could accept your gracious offers. /salute
So to finish please bear with us in this difficult time, we will keep you updated as we can and most of all send Dude some love in the form of cookies.

Update:

"The staff are simply locked out of the engine room. Only one person has the keys/root access/magic spells to actually do anything to solve the current problems, and they're AFK and have been for a really long time. Short of a wizard, the only skillset that might potentially help would be a linux locksmith."
