The Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation has developed a bill that allows you to block websites for copyright infringement without a court decision. The corresponding document is published on the portal of draft normative legal acts.

New amendments to the law on information will oblige the owners of Internet sites to indicate their contact details. If there are no contacts on the site or if the site owner does not remove the pirated content at the request of the copyright holder within 24 hours, the right holder has the right to apply to Roskomnadzor with a request to block the resource, BFM.RU reports.

The Office, in turn, will be able to block the site permanently if within 24 hours the owner of the resource or the provider does not respond to his attempt to contact them, and "the restriction of access to such a site on the Internet is not allowed."

At present, the rightholder must apply to the court to remove illegal content on the Web. Roskomnadzor after the court decision notifies the site of the claims of the right holder. In case the site refuses to remove the pirated copy, within three days access to it in the territory of the Russian Federation is blocked.

Earlier portal iz.ru reported that Roskomnadzor had speeded up the procedure for blocking websites.
