Mega the dream kid of Kim Dotcom

Mega the comeback website by Kim Dotcom, has been in the news for quite sometime now. Most of you must have heard of it. In this post we will tell you about some features of Mega. Mega the new file sharing site, will be launched in 2013. Kim Dotcom has posted a few interesting photos of Mega from his Twitter account.
First photo shows us the sign up page for Mega. Apart from the normal name & email ID it also contains a field with a key in front of it. Most probably the key will be an encryption key for enhanced security.

Second photo shows us the 2048 bit RSA key generation. For the folks who do not know what a RSA key is, they can go to this wikipedia page to know more about it. This may be used to encrypt your information on Mega.

Third photo is the file manager that would be in Mega. This is particularly interesting because you can see there is an inbox on the left hand side. Now that might either mean it is for contacting other people on Mega or Mega might introduce an email service of its own. If its the first one that means a whole community would exist on Mega & that would make the website first of its kind "file-sharing community".

Apart from these screenshots, Kim also posted that there would be 720 TB of space on each rack of Hard drives in Mega servers. Kim also posted a photo of one of the racks. The new cloud service Mega will have centrally located servers as well as global cloud network, that means servers all over the world. This would make the site much resistant to rogue governments. This would also increase the speeds that its users would get.
Kim recently posted one more pic named mega shareholder agreement.

This project by Kim Dotcom might be the biggest revolution in file sharing until now, due to its features like encryption, community, messaging.
