I was only worry about the torrents I downloaded to my seedbox , cause I usually never let the torrent more than 24 hours on it , but I remembered that I never got less than 1:1 ratio at any torrent of IPT
I feel safe now
so let's the system do his job

EDIT:Now that I read more about this,it doesn't look that bad.Of course there are some flaws but looks OK in general.

Hello IPT members,

We are proud to announce that, as of today, we have a new system for Hit and running.

If you have any Hit and Runs, a text will appear next to your bonus points : " X Torrents Require Seeding "

Here is how the system works :

If ratio is lower than 1, the torrent will appear on that list. Once your ratio is higher than 1, the torrent will be removed from the list.

If you downloaded 10% / 20% / etc. of a torrent that you are no longer leeching/seeding and your ratio is lower than 1, the torrent will appear on that list until you have a ratio higher than 1. For example, if you download only 1 movie out of a 100GB pack, you still have to seed that torrent to a 1.0 ratio. You don't have to upload 100GB on that torrent, just give back what you took from it.

If you want to remove a HNR (Hit and Run), you can do that using the "100 bonus points" option from the HNR page.


Important to know about our new system :

1. *All torrents from IPT are checked and added to the system.

For example, if you download an OLD torrent and don't have a 1.0 ratio on it, it will be added to your HNR list. Even though there are no active users on that torrent for you to increase your ratio, you can continue seeding that torrent for a few days to get 100 bonus points and remove it from the list.

1.1. Users get 0.5 bonus points / hour. 0.5 * 1 torrent seeded for 24 hours = 12 bonus points / day. If you seed 10 torrents, for 24 hours, you get 100 bonus points / day.

2. *Users who donated for a month of FreeLeech status will not see the " X Torrents Require Seeding " page.

3. *Donors (VIP status) will not get any warnings from the HNR system, but they will be asked to seed back.

4. *The list updates every 30 minutes.

IPT has become too crowded this move will shorten the herd.

A good and positive initiative by the way, they were accumulating lots of dead torrents.

Maybe could seed lot's of small torrent to get lot's of bonus?

Ok, so here's how it works.

Bonus points:

You can get a maximum of 120 points / day. You get 0.5 points if you seed only 1 torrent or 10 torrents. You get the same amount of points at the end of the day.

0.5 points * 24h of seeding = 120 points
0.5 points * 12h of seeding = 60 points.

***** Remember everyone, in order to get bonus points for seeding a torrent, you have to have all the files from that torrent downloaded. If you only download parts of a torrent, you won't get bonus points for it.*********

And so on.

You need 50 bonus points to remove 1 HNR from the list. This will remain as it is, we will not decrease it, we will not increase it (at least not for another few months).

HNR list:

A torrent is added to this list once you have stopped seeding it in your client. If you stop seeding a torrent for a minute before you reach 1.0 ratio on it, it will count as a HNR. Don't PANIC! If you seed that torrent for 1 day, you can get it removed using 50 bonus points and still have 20 bonus points left.

At the end of every month, the list will be reset to 0, what does that mean? It means that every hit and run you made during the previous month, will be removed from your record. If you have 10-20 HNR torrents in your list BUT you're still seeding them, the system WILL NOT give you any warnings or disable your account. They will just be removed from the list and at most you will get a PM saying you should be more careful what you download next month, meaning you shouldn't download too many torrents if you think you can't seed them properly.

If you're still seeding a HNR torrent at the end of the month, download on that torrent will be reset to 0 and will not be considered a HNR anymore.

If you have many HNR in your list and you're not seeding them either, staff can issue a 1 or 2 week warning and if it happens again one month after that, we can disable your account. So seed your torrents, even if you can't remove all your HNR warnings.

Does the system check for old torrents / Freeleech torrents as well ?

Yes, it does. Any torrent uploaded on IPT that's not properly seeded will be added to your list of HNR torrents.

Why have a HNR system when we have a Ratio system:

Will a torrent I haven't finished downloading be added to the HNR list?

Yes, but it will only be considered a HNR if you downloaded 50% or more of that torrent. If you only downloaded a few MB, let's say 50MB from a 1GB torrent, it will not be seen as a HNR by our staff members.

What about people who made a donation, do they still get HNR torrents added to the list?

If you choose the FreeLeech option, you won't see any hit and run warnings on your IPT page.

As a VIP, you will see them, but you won't receive any warnings for them, they will only be there for staff to monitor and make sure you still share back what you take and don't hit and run on every single torrent you download. VIP members contribute to the site a lot by making donations, but they should still seed their torrents, if not to remove a HNR warning, at least because they're used to how file sharing works and they consider it a hobby (like I do).

Can I shut down my computer during the night?

Is my account in any danger now with the HNR system?

No, as long as you seed your HNR torrents until the end of the month (not constantly, a few hours a day, as long as you can). If you don't seed your HNR torrents at the end of the month, you will receive a warning via PM to not do that again, the next month a warning from a staff (1 week / 2 week) and 3rd strike is disable. So as you can see, we are more than fair with this new system, you don't get banned the first time you are caught hit and running. You are given lots of chances to prove that you can be part of a private community (A safe community), and not a part of a public tracker which has fake releases / virused releases and last but not least, no security whatsoever.

So please, before you tell us that you will leave IPT for public trackers (2-3 users did that already) think about what you're doing, listen to the facts and give this system a chance before you make a decision you might regret later when you can't find a movie you want to see so bad and no one can help you because no one takes requests seriously on public trackers.

I will keep this thread closed for another 2-3 hours so that everyone can review this post and understand that we are doing this for IPT, to make it a better, safer place. As staff, we see things you can't see and we've noticed a decrease in seeders over the past few months and a new HNR system was necessary. Do not accuse us that we're trying to get people to donate by adding this new system, no, we're trying to get people to seed their downloads..

Those are releases I upped and after 2 hours, that's how many hit and runners were on those torrents. There are your facts! Your move now.

For a new movie we see over 6,000 snatches in 2-3 hours and lefts only 1,000 - 1,300 seeders. over 4,000 HIT AND RUNNERs.
We'll mainly focus on hot releases, if they are released and users hit and run on them - they will get a warning.

That HIT&RUN list is just a record, don't get it like hit and run which will punish you or disable your account!
We record what users download for 1 month and we'll review them if they are really and hit and runner.

You may continue using IPT as you used to! but seed back properly new torrents, specially hot releases.

The only thing i don't like about this is , you have to seed a free leech torrent 1:1 ratio , which is very hard if their are more than 50 seeders and less leechers.

A better script for cheating would have been more better than all that shit , I don't expect that to achieve a success !
