A whistleblower website called Savukku leveled serious allegations against Lyca Productions, the entertainment company, which is producing films like 2.0 and Chekka Chivantha Vaanam.

A detailed report by the website claimed that the domains of the notorious online portal called Tamilrockers, which releases pirated Tamil movies, are registered through the website www.lycamovie.com.

The report insinuated that Lyca was behind the piracy of Tamil films. It further stated that Tamil Film Producers Council president Vishal, who is aware of Lyca's involvement in the piracy, has been protecting the production house for his personal gains.

Now, Lyca has come up with an official statement denying all the allegations made by the whistleblower website. In the statement, it said that production house acquired the domain name 'lycamovie.com', which was once redirected to the piracy website Tamilgun.com. However, it stated after Lyca acquired the domain, no piracy activities have happened through the website.

After the alleged expose, about 40 Tamil film producers, headed by Bharathiraja and Radha Ravi, addressed the media and demanded the exit of Vishal from the Council.
