India - Piracy hits Spyder team

Footages of scenes and songs from big budget movies being leaked during post-production of a movie has become a common sight. The leaked pictures and videos from shooting locale is posing a serious threat to the film industry.

Earlier, Baahubali’s footage fell prey to the piracy. Recently, Shankar’s upcoming 2.0 and Suriya’s Thaana Serndha Koottam faced a similar situation when videos from the shooting spot were leaked. The latest to join is big budget flick AR Murugadoss-Mahesh Babu’s Telugu-Tamil bilingual Spyder. The film’s leaked video, which has the title and actors’ picture in it with a background score, is going viral on social media. However, the makers claim they are fabricated.

“Do not believe in rumours about any leakage of #SPYder footage. Some elements are spreading fake videos,” posted the makers on their official Twitter handle.

Spyder has Mahesh Babu playing the role of an intelligence officer, who propells a mission against bioterrorism. Rakul Preet Singh essays his romantic interest while SJ Suryah and Bharath play the antagonists.
