While ‘Toilet Ek Prem Katha’ was leaked on HD quality two weeks before its release, the film ‘Munna Michael’ was leaked during its box office run which affected its business.

It seems like hackers and the piracy organisations are targeting the Bollywood industry harshly and it is impacting the business of producers who invest money to earn returns. The recent victim of the online leak was ‘Munna Michael’ which is being downloaded and watched online and via various Torrent sites. The film has been leaked in various qualities, but the HD quality leak of the film is in demand and people are sharing the links on social media making it worse for the filmmakers.

While some links are made out to be hoax and click-baits, majority of the links have the HD quality film leaked and available for both download and watching purpose. The action-dance film which is directed by Sabbir Khan is going to be affected adversely by the leak as cine-goers in hope of saving a few bucks are downloading the film and sharing the links with their friends and family which is making it worse to keep the piracy under control.

While various steps have been taken to ensure that piracy is kept at bay, the problem seems to be growing day by day with recent releases being leaked and made available even before its release.

When the news of ‘Toilet Ek Prem Katha’ HD full movie being leaked online reached the filmmakers they right-away booked a complaint with the crime branch. But, till then it had been watched and downloaded to be shared among people. ‘Munna Michael’ seems to have the same fate, as the box office collections show that the film is being adversely affected by the leak.

While, the rampant increase of digital piracy is a boon for the film industry and the producers who invest money into the film, the cine-goers lack of responsibility in receiving films is also shocking. Recent target of the leak was Shree Narayan Singh directed ‘Toilet Ek Prem Katha’ which stars Akshay Kumar, Bhumi Pednekar and Anupam Kher among others.

The film was leaked online in various qualities including HD quality video and was being downloaded by cine-goers across the country. The film which leaked in its yet-to-release phase is supposed to be affected with the box office collections. The news came to the limelight when director-choreographer Remo D’Souza came out in the open and talked about it to the news channels. He claimed in an report by Spotboy-e that he got the full leaked film in a pendrive from his building’s gym instructor.

He said, “My building’s gym trainer, Vithal,came up to me and said that he had a pen drive which has the first half of Toilet Ek Prem Katha. I thought he was joking, but he insisted that I believe him. I immediately told him to bring it to me. I opened up the pen drive and almost fell off from my chair. It was not the first half, but the entire second half.”

While the links for the film’s download had been doing rounds on social media, the celebrity coming out with the news helped the authorities stop the nuisance sooner. Remo D’Souza, further expressing his concern about the pitfalls of piracy said, “This implied that if this pen drive had started doing the rounds, it would have created havoc. I am a filmmaker and I know how the world comes crashing down if anybody’s film from my fraternity is exposed before it hits theatres.”

As soon as he got hold of the evidence of the leak, he tried contacting the makers of the film to provide them with insight about the matter. In an interview with The Indian Express, he said, “I first called Akshay sir, but since he was in London, he was unavailable. Then I called up Prerna Arora, the producer, told her about the situation, Director Shree Narayan Singh came and collected the pen drive from me. They will be taking legal action against piracy, and I will talk to Akshay sir once he is back.”

On the other hand, actor Akshay Kumar has taken to Twitter to express his concern and to ask for cooperation from fans about the matter. He wrote,

“The fight against piracy is critical and it’s reassuring to see the swift action taken by the Crime Branch on the unfortunate incident involving our film Toilet Ek Prem Katha. I would like to urge my friends, colleagues, fans and audiences to please say no to piracy. Thank you all for your support.”

Leaked Meesaya Murukku full HD movie online for free-Digital piracy has become a serious problem.

The President of Producers’ Council and Secretary of Nadigar Sangam, Vishal, seems to be taking the issue seriously and has promised to adopt various measures to stop the act of piracy and fight against it. But it seems, if measures are not taken soon enough then the film industry would go into severe loss because of the piracy which makes films available easily and for free.

The film, ‘Meesaya Murukku’ stars Adithya also known as Adhi of musical duo Hiphop Tamizha. The actor also wrote the film. The films also stars Vivek, Aathamika and Vijaylakshmi among others. It was received well by both the audience and critics.
