GazelleGames News - Staff Hiring & Single-Seed Torrents

After some restructuring of the staff team, as well as other commitments by current staff, we find ourselves in need of some fresh new ideas and expertise in the field of development work. So we are asking anybody who may be interested in helping out the staff team and their fellow community users to consider applying to join our Development Team.

What are we looking for in a Developer?
*Able to maintain a level of secrecy.*Able to idle in the developer channel on IRC.*Able to work independently and are driven to accomplish their goals. The job can be repetitive so self-motivation is key.*Contribute to the overall community at GGn.

Recently it has become more and more common to see torrents with a single seeder who are deliberately throttling their upload speeds as a means to generate gold. This goes completely against the sharing nature of this community and makes Garry the Gazelle a sad gazelle indeed.

Users found to be doing this will find themselves facing serious consequences - they will be warned or even banned. Identifying torrents affected by such anti-community seeders is extremely easy. If you come across such a torrent and are unable to begin downloading it after 3 days of being actively connected, please dont hesitate to send in a Staff PM to notify us of it. Potentially affected torrents will be periodically tested and the delinquent users held accountable. We hope this stern word should correct most or all of this from happening.
