GayTorrent.ru, one of the largest gay torrent trackers appears to have shut down.

The homepage has been replaced by a RIP banner with some moody music playing in the background.

Tens of thousands of users are left in the dark, and will have to find a new home to share their seeds.

GayTorrent.ru follows a slew of other sites that went down in recent weeks, including BTjunkie.

TorrentFreak contacted the site’s operators for more information regarding the drastic decision, but we have yet to hear back from them.

Hey guys, this is BitTorrent news. Gay, lez, bi, whatever... if they can maintain a decent ratio, seed properly, upload torrents, and/or contribute in a positive way for the benefit of any tracker, what the fuck do I care if they like sucking dicks. (lol, "seeding properly")

Though I might not be a part of this tracker or of the many other trackers that had to make the unfortunate decision to call it quits, I'm still sad when a tracker has to fall.

You may not have been affected by this closure because of your own sexual orientation, but try to have a bit of reasoning and consider their loss and compare it to the fall of PureTNA, Empornium, & Cheggit.
