Here we go!

Good morning all,

We hope everyone is well during this complicated time. Take care of yourself and your loved ones, the most important is there.

As some have noticed, with the arrival of the choice of languages in the upload and search forms, we have finally moved to V1.0. By leaving BETA, we have finally implemented improvements / constraints that have been on stand-by for months, the time to formalize the V1 of the site.

First of all, in order to perpetuate the seed on Sharewood, and in accordance with the results of the previous survey carried out with the community, it was decided to put in place an anti Hit & Run system from Monday April 13 for all. Hit & Run is a practice which consists in downloading torrents, and exiting sharing once the download is complete. The principle of a tracker is to share files over the long term, and a minimum of effort by all is necessary.

Here are the rules to follow:
download completed (dl at 100%), you must stay in seed for at least 72 hours over the 7 days following this dl. If you exit sharing before these 72 hours, you will receive an alert message which will tell you how long you have to stay in seed. This message will only arrive if you exceed the limit of 48 consecutive hours without seed.
If you do not take action following this alert, you will receive a warning. After 3 warnings, you will be temporarily banned. The final ban is decided by the staff, if regular recurrence.
A warning, however, has a limited duration of 14 days, so it is quite easy to redeem a conduct.
Important clarification: users with "uploader" status are not bound to this rule, as long as no abuse is noted by the Staff. The latter nevertheless reserves the right to lift this exemption on a case-by-case basis.

In addition, in the event of a vacation or long weekend, it is possible to contact a member of the Staff so that the anti-HnR system can be deactivated.

In order to best answer your questions, a Q&A is planned on the "General Help" shout Friday April 17, 2020 at 8:00 pm UTC +1. As a reminder, the principle of Q&A is to bring together (even in full confinement ^^) the staff (who have answers) and the community (who have questions). Don't hesitate to come and participate, it's always a good opportunity to get to know each other better! We hope you will be many, like the last time. Of course, we will report for all users.

We wish you a nice day and we hope you are all in good health. Good luck with the rest of the confinement. And good luck to those who telework or work to support us or save lives. Thank you.

The staff.
